Plunderbund Podcast (audio)

Update: Here is version 2 (shorten still?):

In the planning stages for what feels like forever, I’m finally getting around to working a bit on the podcast. I wanted to get some feedback on a lead-in audio clip i pug together. Mind you, my Audacity skills are limited. If anyone out there is really good at this stuff and wants to help, I’m listening ;-)

Here’s a first go:

The podcast will be a weekly 30 minute or so show. The format is rough as yet, but I’m hoping it will include the following:

  • Interview with one left leaning Ohio blogger each week
  • Hot topics in the Ohio blogosphere
  • National issues being blogged about in Ohio
  • Rotating guest commentary (Pounder from BSB, Jill from Writes Like She Talks, and Tim Russo from Democracy Guy, and one other - if they all still agree to do it)
  • Quick chats with politicians
  • Interspersed with plenty of me ranting

I really hope to be able to begin this week with a Sunday show and continue from there. If you have ideas for it, suggestions, or would like to be on, please email me!

ya, i thought the same. hard to keep an eye on time when i’m so busy trying to get all the pieces to work together. that’s 5 pieces of audio all together. i’ll try to cut some time out of it…

I got another one in the works…i’m loving this remix stuff! next one has a jazzier feel - not as slapstick.

agree with Brian, too long for an intro. Jazzier feel might be sweet, would like to hear that.

applaud your effort. damn, not only are you planning to maintain a blog, but also do a weekly podcast. much greater man than I. let us know if we can help in any manner.

The intro on my latest MTB podcast is 40 seconds, and I think that’s way long…

yah, i got the final version down to about a minute….a bit longer but with the fade out i’ll cut that off with talking anyways. hopefully it’s decent enough not to turn people off in the first few seconds. i think i just enjoy the mixing and fading too much ;-)

i’m sure it’ll be an evolving thing and hopefully i’m able to perfect it. i appreciate all the feedback though. sometimes it hard to listen objectively when it’s your baby - especially after you’ve spent the last two hours editing audio.
