Speeches, Speeches

Obama, as expected was great. He seemed to crescendo early and could have ended stronger, but his stories were great and his use of a recent Newt Gingrich quote was brilliant. Newt was criticizing Republicans and was asked “If you were a Democrat, how would you respond to Republicans?”. Newt says: “I’d use two words: Had Enough”.

Obama went on to ask on several fronts: Have you had enough? I’ve had enough! Briliiant!

Fisher is up introducing Strickland and got the crowd absolutely nuts. “Ted, Ted, Ted”. Ted gets to the stage and lets out a big “Wooo!”. I was surprised at how good Lee was. His best line: The choice for Governor will be “between someone who wears his religion on his sleeve and someone who holds his religion in his heart“. What a great line! I think he’ll need to put it on his sleeve just a bit in response, but that is really a great line!

PS: I’m hearing Sherrod Brown might be making some moves toward bloggers…not precisely sure what that will be. hmmm.
