Tiberi returns Foley’s money

It took a few days (and a little prodding from Shamansky and the liberal blogosphere), but Tiberi has decided to donate the $2000 he received from Mark Foley’s PAC.

Tiberi spokesman Bruce Cuthbertson said yesterday that the contribution Tiberi received from Foley’s PAC will be donated to two local childabuse prevention programs.

“For someone who focuses on family values, Congressman Tiberi has an awful lot of ties to the GOP’s most unsavory characters,” said Drew Tappan, spokesman for Democrat Bob Shamansky, who is running against Tiberi.

Tappan referred to contributions Tiberi had previously returned from U.S. Rep. Bob Ney, R-Heath, and GOP fundraiser and coin dealer Thomas W. Noe.
