Making fun of crying kids is not right, no matter how much of a tool her dad is. We assailed Rush Limbaugh over his "White House dog" joke ("It was a mistake! Honest!" Yeah...right) and stooping to a Rovian level should not be the goal. Now if it were actually Rick Santorum crying....now THAT would be funny.

Having four daughters...more than one has gone thru that time period when they wanted to dress like their dolls. Hence the many stores that sell matching dresses, pj's and other outfits for a little girl and her doll.

Recently here in Toledo I had the chance to meet Howard Dean. My oldest daughter drove me and she while a Dean fan is not anywhere close to as political as I am. What had the biggest impact on both of us was the part of his message about unity, and how we had to focus on what united us rather than what divides us.

So, I guess in response to your question, Joseph I'd ask...What would Howard say?

he's actually not really...

I don't think all Republicans are 'Evil' and 'Brain-Dead' (Dean's words- not mine) – but Rick Santorum most certainly is.

While we work to ensure our children grow up to be kind, loving individuals with respect for other human beings- people like Rick Santorum spread hatred.

Maybe, someday, the nurturing hand of the Democrats will win over the hearts and minds of the Santorum children.

Maybe- but probably not.

But- I suppose everyone deserves a chance.

So… check back here in 10 years for an update.
