I can't say I'm terribly surprised.  I always felt bad when I called Dewine's office and the exasperated staff had to explain why Dewine hadn't taken a position on this or that issue.  

My favorite line to pull on them was this:  Well, they'd say, Senator Dewine hasn't taken a position on that issue becasue it's not up for a vote.  If it comes up for a vote, he'll study it and take a position. 

Then I'd ask if he was pro-life.  Yes, of course, they'd say.  Well, I'd say, that hasn't come up for a vote!

I do feel badly for the staffers who are looking for work.  This is a great move by Pelosi.</description>
