On April 4, 2007, while the Senate was in recess, Bush used his power of recess appointment to secure Fox’s position without the need for Senate approval.[8] This makes Fox ambassador until the next session of Congress convenes, and effectively makes him ambassador for the remainder of the Bush presidency.

No suprises here. Typical Bush administration crap.

But I promise you your trip to Wikipedia isn’t wasted… because at the top of the page about Sam Fox is this hilarious line:

    Yes indeed. Imagine this being read at the confirmation hearings:

    “In early 1983, sixteen-year-old Samantha Fox posed in her bedroom, wearing lingerie, while her mother Carole took pictures for The Sunday People newspaper’s “Face and Shape of 1983″ amateur modelling contest.
