George Bush Goes on Vacation While Our Troops Die in Iraq

George Bush gave a happy little speech today before heading off on another vacation at his ranch in Texas.

The Washington Post has the full text of the speech along with the Q&A that followed.

While there were a lot of good questions from reporters, I’m really surprised no one asked: Given that our troops are fighting and dying in the extreme (125+ degree) heat of Iraq- in a war that YOU started and that most of America does not support- don’t you feel that it is obscene, disgusting and totally disrespectful of you to be taking a month off work to relax on your ranch in Texas?

Last month 608 US service members were wounded and 89 were killed and we can expect that, if not more, this month while George is out clearing brush and driving around in his pick up truck.
