Jumping the Shark

I’m not sure how I missed this, but yesterday was the 30th anniversary of perhaps one of the most iconic moments in television history: when The Fonz “Jumped the Shark”. If you’ve never seen the television moment that created the “jumped the shark” meme, here it is.

Perhaps now you understand why this moment symbolizes the point of no return for, well, anything that jumps a shark.

I really wanted to find the clip of Henry Winkler’s character on Arrested Development jumping over a shark (funniest damn thing I ever saw, and it happens so quick if you blink you missed the joke), but YouTube let me down.
