Election Workers Who Rigged 2004 Recount Given Deal
Note to election workers who are thinking about rigging today’s election: Ohio doesn’t care.
The AP is reporting that the two Cuyahoga County election workers convicted of rigging the 2004 presidential election recount have been given a deal.
Cuyahoga County election workers Jacqueline Maiden, 60, and Kathleen Dreamer, 41, pleaded no contest to negligent misconduct and failure to perform official duties, prosecutors said.
The judge made no ruling on the women’s guilt or innocence. They were placed in a diversion program, and their records will be cleared if they avoid legal trouble for six months, said Cara Santosuosso, Maiden’s attorney.
