GOP Claims Victory In “Key Races”

In a post last night on the Ohio GOP Blog, Ohio Republican Party Chairman Bob Bennett claims that the “Republicans took some key races tonight.”

And by key races he means the mayoral races in Tiffin (population 18,135) and Newark (population 46,279).

And why, you might ask, can’t Republicans win in larger cities like Columbus (population 733,203) ?

According to Bob, Republican voters have all “moved out of the inner cities to avoid the festering school and safety problems.”

Nice one, Bob. Way to alienate the city dwellers and drive them further away from the GOP.
