A group of Ohio religious leaders is trying to make Ohio a “sleaze-free campaign zone” during the 2008 election season.
The group, We Believe Ohio, is trying to get politicians to sign an online petetion promising to “positively promote what we stand for” and “refrain from negative and inflammatory attack ads.”
This certainly would have helped make the recent GOP primary battle between Latta and Buehrer much more civil but A LOT less fun.
Supposedly, they are trying to get Kilroy and Stivers to sign their petition. That seems pretty unlikely, though.
