Boehner’s Taxpayer-Funded Back Surgery

I just heard Republican Representative John Boehner is scheduled for back surgery on Friday at Bethesda Naval Hospital.

The last time I checked, Bethesda was federal institution funded by federal tax dollars.

And I wouldn’t really have a problem with John Boehner using tax dollars to pay for his back surgery except that Bonner (sorry, Boehner) has possibly the WORST voting record on public health care issues in history!

The American Public Health Association (APHA) has given him a rating of ZERO PERCENT on health issues- indicating THE WORST anti-public health voting record possible.

What the hell, John? Did your PPO refuse to approve your surgery? Did you forget to get a referral to an in-network specialist in the state (Ohio) where you live?

Or maybe you just don’t think the rest of America deserves the same quality of health care you get.

Must have thrown his back out bending over to kiss the feet of corporate lobbyists.

This is probably the thing that pisses me of the most about GOP politicians. Apparently they are worth taxpayer “handouts”, but nobody else is.

As public servants, Congress should not get any benefits the people they serve don’t get.
