What if Hillary Really IS a Monster?

“She is a monster, too – that is off the record – she is stooping to anything“

That’s what got Samantha Powers ousted from the Obama campaign. She also said this:

“You just look at her and think, ‘Ergh,’ ” Power also said. “But if you are poor and she is telling you some story about how Obama is going to take your job away, maybe it will be more effective. The amount of deceit she has put forward is really unattractive.”

I can’t say I disagree with any of it. I’ll say it again. She and Bill view this thing as “her turn” and they will burn down the Democratic Party to get it. You watch. Bill stooped to attacks with racial overtones, they stooped to using the fear card and lying about NAFTA in Ohio. More to come. This is slash and burn politics and unfortunately for Obama he is going to have to play it in order to change it. It’s that simple.

The Obama campaign is right to denounce (and reject?) the statement and distance themselves from the comment. I don’t have to. Everything she said was true…and everyone knows it. The next few weeks are about stalling for time hoping to re-writes rules in her favor and re-arranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

Racists and cross-over voters might have given Hillary the edge in Ohio – and may in Pennsylvania too, but it won’t change the outcome. Get ready to unite behind the true candidate for real change (the guy for change before change was cool). Get ready to help elect President Barack Obama.
