There they go again. Asshat Congressman extraordinaire Steve King of Iowa goes all wingnutty on Obama’s middle name Hussein (which means “handsome one” in Arabic, or “terrorist goat fucker” in Wingnut). He started off saying:

“They’ll be dancing in the streets because of his middle name. They’ll be dancing in the streets because of who his father was and because of his posture that says, ‘Pull out of the Middle East. Pull out of this conflict.’ “

Called on to apologize he just got wingnuttier:

“I will tell you that if he is elected president, the radical Islamists, the al Qaida and the radical Islamists and their supporters will be dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on September 11th. Because they will declare victory in this war on terror.”

Let’s look at these statement critically for a minute. Terrorists and al Qaida need a fight and a reason to exist and recruit, right? I’m gonna bet dollars to donuts that actually invading a Muslim country like Iraq fueled more recruitment and caused more joy to al Qaida than having a middle name and declaring that you will re-focus on hunting down terrorists in Afghanistan and wherever else they reside. You think, Steve?

Hard to see that clearly when you are blinded by right-wing hate. What kind of special asshat is Steve King of Iowa? Well, it takes a special kind of asshat with an acute sense of cultural and religious sensitivity to climb a mountain in Tibet and build a Christian cross out of stones:
