As a result of bad accounting and fraud, the National Republican Congressional Committee appears to have ended 2006 with $990,000 less than its balance sheet showed, and ended 2007 with $740,000 less than officials knew.
It turns out that the NRCC Treasurer, Christopher J. Ward, is also the treasurer for a bunch of other Republicans and GOP-related PACs.
And these are the guys who run on a platform of fiscal responsibility?
What a joke.
