Just now on MSNBC. 2 employees at the State Department have been fired and a third suspended over a security breach that led to Barack Obama’s passport information being accessed without authorization. Three different occasions by three different individuals.

The Obama camp responds:

“This is an outrageous breach of security and privacy, even from an Administration that has shown little regard for either over the last eight years. Our government’s duty is to protect the private information of the American people, not use it for political purposes. This is a serious matter that merits a complete investigation, and we demand to know who looked at Senator Obama’s passport file, for what purpose, and why it took so long for them to reveal this security breach,” Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said in a statement.

Update: The Washington Times broke the story and they have more. They are saying the FBI is looking at this:

One administration official said the FBI is conducting a preliminary inquiry into the officials involved in the unauthorized access incidents related to Mr. Obama, Illinois Democrat. An FBI spokesman could not be reached for comment.
