Dann: Drop Investigation and I’ll Quit

The Dispatch is reporting that Marc Dann is trying to “negotiate the terms of his resignation.”

In short: Dann told legislative leaders that he will quit as long as the they don’t let the Inspector General investigate his office.

That “would cause all sorts of problems”, said Dann.

More problems that the ones we already know about?

Jesus Christ, Marc. What else are you hiding?

Plunderchat:

I dont know what card he really has to play. Does he really want to get impeached?

I thought he might be able to fight off the impeachment assuming no new information came out about his role in the Gutierrez thing.

But if Dann is that afraid of an external investigator, then he must really have something to hide.

He should have resigned when he had the chance.
