Joyce Beatty Endorses Obama

Breaking news from Gongwer: House Democratic Leader Beatty Casts Party Superdelegate Vote For Obama

“I think we had two great candidates to choose from,” Ms. Beatty said. But she said voter motivation and issues put her in Sen. Obama’s camp. “The cross section, the energy … I believe it’s going to take all of that for us to have a Democratic president,” she said in an interview.

When asked about Hillary Clinton, Beatty said: “I would love to see her as vice president.”

Hopefully this is the first drop of the coming super delegate flood toward Obama.

Really taking a stand once it is clear who the delegate winner will be to throw your support behind them.

Maybe Sherrod Brown can finally finish hedging his bets now and go with the winner.

I’m with you Ben. Probably the same reason Carter endorsed Obama today.

and the same reason president bush endorsed McCain the day after Huckabee dropped out.
