“And I know this country, which I love more than almost anything…

What, Senator? What do you love more than your country? Why almost? Is this the first time you’ve felt this way?

So if given the choice John would betray his country to save his family? Or his church? That sounds like the most unpatriotic thing I’ve ever heard.

I thought he put country FIRST? Or should he be saying “I put country first, unless I’m talking to the religious right in which it is god, or unless it is to rural voters in which it is family?”
