I live close to there, and it’s more wing-nutty than most other places in northwest Ohio. The WaPo article pretty much hit the nail right on the head about that place. Right-wing, yuppie, old money, very white bread, entitled, demanding, narcissistic, holier-than-thou, etc., it all characterizes Findlay.

Dude – it’s Findlay, Ohio. It’s in the middle of a corn field halfway between Columbus and Ann Arbor.

I drove through there this morning and it’s one of the few places in the world left where my cell phone still can’t get a signal.

It’s the county seat of Hancock county mainly because it’s one of only two incorporated places in the whole county.

It’s 38,000 white folks living in the middle of nowhere.

My point here is: no big surprise.
