Why do Schmidt, Jordan and Latta Want School Girls to Have Babies?
Three Ohio Representatives – Jim Jordan, Bob Latta and Jean Schmidt – have decided to cosponsor a bill that would effectively increase the number of abortions and unintended pregnancies among elementary and secondary school girls.
The bill, H.R. 6453, was introduced by Doug Lamborn and it goes a little something like this…
“To amend the General Education Provisions Act to prohibit Federal education funding for elementary or secondary schools that provide access to emergency postcoital contraception.”
I assume Mr. Lamborn and his cosponsors expect that this silly little bill will keep silly little girls and boys from having sex.
Unfortunately, the only thing this bill will do is punish little girls- and the babies they are going to be forced to have.
Reducing access to contraception is NOT going to stop kids from having sex- it’s only going to keep kids from having safe sex and it’s going to increase the number of babies born to girls who aren’t yet old enough to vote these asshats out of office.
It’s also going to increase the number of abortions performed on underage girls.
Don’t believe me?
Just ask the American Association of Family Physicians:
“The use of safe, effective emergency postcoital contraceptive methods could result in 1 million fewer abortions and 2 million fewer unintended pregnancies each year in the United States.”
