Sarah Palin’s Unamerican Flag Pin

The first thing I noticed about McCain’s VP pick Sarah Palin was her flag pin.

It was big and shiny and appeared to be covered with diamonds.

It screamed I LOVE AMERICA MORE THAN YOU in the gaudy and garish way only an oversized American flag brooch can.

Well folks, here’s the rub: those aren’t diamonds- they’re Czech rhinestones. Actually, the whole pin was made in the Czech Republic (Czechoslovakia to John McCain).

This may explain why it only has seven stripes and nine stars.

    I admired the pin that Sara Palin wore enough to look it up and find your sad comment. You surely went out of your way to put a democrat spin on it. A Republican can’t win in “your world” no matter what they do. If it was Hillary, yes they would be real diamonds…or even Pelosi. They are all rich…filthy rich. Does that make them un-American? No. I’m sure they love their country too.

    The Obamas are successful because they are smart and hard working.

    The McCain’s are successful because cindy was born into a rich family and john married well (the second time).

    Well….maybe you should check your facts. The Obamas made their money from his books. And Michelle only got her HUGE promotion after he ran for president.

    And Cindy McCain has been an honest supporter of children’s rights and health for a long time. Even before it was fashionable. And, geez. She increased the family fortune when she took over the family business. So, that’s not hard work? No credit here? The McCains are smart and hardworking. But in “your world” only Democrats count. No one else matters. You have demonized a lot of wonderful hard working people. People who are in touch with reality.

    I agree with you Eric. I dont see how anyone can talk about family when they destroy there own. Why too does Palin not get informed by McCains camp that they are pulling out of Michigan? Nice to know these two keep in touch. I’d be furious if I were her. McCain makes it seem like Palin is unimportant and McCain gives up on Michigan too soon. What the heck is that about?

    Wirting books is hard work and even harder to turn a pretty penny out of it. Inheriting a family business is easy… besides, who stops drinking beer and why should we be happy as americans that more people turn to drinking… thats were the profits come from. the more that is consumed, the more money is made.

    Nice. I wonder how many children Cindy has helped because of abusive parents that drink Budweiser products.

    I love the fact that John McCain and Sarah Palin our next PRESIDENTS love America and have never been ashamed of wearing a flag lapel. Have never refused to put their hand over their heart when receiting the Plege Allegiance to the Flag. We live in a land that is filled with milk and honey, we are BLESSED! So who cares if the flag Sarah was wearing was not real diamonds, it’s what’s in the heart that counts. Money does NOT buy friendships or love!

    Not the same pin.

    1. Palin’s flag is waving. The one you show does not.
    2. Palin’s pin is proportionally wider.
    3. Palin’s pin has a full row of white under the blue field. Yours has a red one.
    4. The rope on Palin’s pin is wider sweeping away from the pole.

    Not the same pin.

    It is obviously a knockoff copy of whatever one she actually has, whose source of origin is therefore unknown.

    As for your comment regarding the number of stars and stripes: I know you think you are being intelligent in making that point about it having only 7 stripes and 9 stars. However, if it ACTUALLY had 13 stripes and 50 stars, would you be more satisfied by it being accurately-designed, at the expense of how much more “gaudy… garish… [and] oversized” that would make it?
