I tried to tell you that rain wouldn’t dampen the desire for change. Rain wouldn’t dampen the enthusiasm we all have for a fresh new brand of leadership. Rain simply could not wash away the change we need. Supporters in Denver could have proven it if the Christfascists at Focus on the Family would have had their way.
25,000 drenched supporters in Fredericksburg, Virginia proved that their prayers would have ended up defeating their purpose. The rain came alright, but it doesn’t sound to me like it dampened anything. If anything, it showed both the resolve of Barack Obama and the American patriots who support him:
…and they prayed for rain!
