Earlier this week Modern at BSB suggested we get rid of the State Senate since they can’t seem to get anything accomplished are they are stalling the budget process.
An interesting idea, but probably not very likely.
However New York’s State Comptroller, facing a similiar issue with his State Senate, has given us another option that I never would have thought of.
According to Gawker “comptroller Thomas ‘The Clench’ DiNapoli has stopped paying the New York Senate until they get their shit in gear. He’s withholding their paychecks along with $560,000 worth of travel vouchers until they get back to work.”
Now THAT is an idea I could get behind.
