On the other hand it's the "right" of people not to have their tax dollars fund abortions. I mean really, both these issues are (supposedly, according to anti-choice people) nearly identical- money for the murder of other human beings. That's an argument made on their own terms of course, and in reality I reject those terms outright, but I'd sure like to hear an answer to this. It looks like there is a compromise in the Senate bill that is much less restrictive than Stupak-Pitts. It looks like the firestorm – which we here at PB joined in on – may have worked to bring the house bill closer in line with Hyde.
