Mike Huckabee’s Political Career Is Now Officially Over

TPM reports that Maurice Clemmons, the guy who is suspected of shooting and killing four police officers in Seattle today, had his 95 year prison sentence commuted by John Kasich’s best buddy Mike Huckabee.

    i'm sure this has something to do with the vaunted christian sense of mercy, or maybe it's just very poor judgment. hmm… could the two somehow be related? i dunno. i have nothing against mercy, but maybe the repuke christofascists could start directing some of it toward us law abiding citizens who are being sodomized by bankers and greedy capitalists in general.

    I don't necessarily think Huckabee even showed poor judgement in showing mercy to a teenager who was sentenced to 95 years in prison.

    However he can never win a Republican primary now since he will always be the guy who let the cop killer free and that doesn't play well with the law-and-order/i'm-afraid-of-minorities Republican base.
