Um, Portman's employer and second biggest campaign donor was put in charge of handing out the first bailout money. Not to mention, Portman supported it back then.

"It's staggering that Rob Portman has the nerve to call for an end to bailouts and the TARP program when it was his economic and trade policies that made them necessary in the first place. In fact, in September 2008 Portman told CNN that 'we ought to move forward with this incredibly important [bailout] package right now.'
