You know, I generally try to avoid posting on press releases, but this is too good to pass up.

Fresh after being on the losing side of the budget battle and with growing criticism in the media over Kasich’s lack of any detail on how he’d pay for his income tax repeal, Kasich’s campaign tries to attack Governor Strickland for not foreseeing the global economic collapse.?

It backfires so badly, I’m actually amused out of how much Chris Redfern is enjoying finally making Kasich’s position with Lehman Bros. politically relevant.

The [Kasich] spokesman said: “Many other states were prepared [...]

C-SPAN Teabagging Hilarity

On December 22, 2009 By

I posted earlier about a call from Tom Coburn to pray that someone (Senator Byrd ostensibly) would not be able to make the health care reform vote in order to secure it’s defeat.? C-SPAN catches some hilarity relating to this incident that is sublime.? Most likely a hoax, but a damned good one.? If it turns out not to be a hoax it would be some of the funniest stuff I’ve seen on video since Naugle took a golf club to a bobblehead.

Enjoy an entire presidency of irrelevance. You’re off to a fine start!

Great post-banning comment after the jump.

Woohoo! ?I don’t know how many times I’ve been banned from DailyKos, but today’s banning coincides with receiving my first email from a whining Jerome Armstrong in more than 4 years. ?So awesome!

All because Jane Hamsher shit her own bed. ?And after I helped raise a huge sum of money for Jennifer Brunner on a recommended diary, one of many recommended diaries I’ve had at DailyKos since rejoining a month ago. ?If the DailyKos community wants to join with Jane Hamsher and teabagger Larouchies, go right ahead folks. ?We’ll still be helping re-elect Barack Obama in 2012, with [...]

Proving that no good deed goes unpunished in Kos-land, I posted this diary today, and got flamed like a champ.

Ok, so I wrote a diary with a lot of invective in it against Jane Hamsher. ?I apologize to this community for the invective. ?I do not apologize to Jane Hamsher. ?Here’s why.

Nice Work If You Can Get It!

On December 22, 2009 By

Let’s see.? Get paid over $200k a year to head up a major political party and have (or take) time to go around personally enriching yourself giving speeches?

Nice work if you can get it!

Two things of note:

1.? Shouldn’t past GOP chairman be cheering this relative to their free market principles?? Ahoy!

2.? No more railing against “elites” for Steele.? Mr. 15k speeches and first class only airfare.

3.? I thought speeches were bad?

‘Tis the season for… Present Face.

Those of you with sharp eyes may notice a few (kinda) famous faces in the video.? Like James Kyson Lee from Heroes and Samm Levine from Freaks and Geeks (and quite a few more folks).? If you enjoyed that, I’ve put a few more hilarious videos from Garfunkel and Oates after the jump.?

Unlike some of the other guys here at PB I’m not hell-bent on destroying Lee Fisher.

He’s not my favorite Democrat in the Senate race. But I also don’t think he’s a bad guy and, as the party favorite and assumed nominee, he’s probably been wise to follow the standard playbook for a candidate in his position: shut up, raise a lot of money and wait for your underfunded opponent’s campaign to shrivel and die.

Two months ago I was convinced his strategy was going to work. I sincerely believed that the Brunner campaign was doomed and Fisher was going [...]

Governor Ted Strickland just announced he’s not backing down in his re-election fight in today’s year-end-review interview with the Statehouse press corp.  What is usually a dry event, turned into quite the story.  The Columbus Dispatch and the Cleveland Plain Dealer already have the story up.

On the budget compromise:

In a year-end interview with The Dispatch, Strickland said Ohio still would be dealing with its budget crisis and likely facing punishing cuts in education and other services “if a majority of Republican senators had had their way.”

The governor referred to last week’s vote [...]
