John Kasich declares he outlawed Congressional bailouts in the 1990s
Poor John Kasich.? He can’t understand why all those Tea Party folks are upset.? Don’t they know he went back to the 1990s, ended all corporate welfare, deported Obama, and made Sarah Palin President, thus preventing TARP and the auto industry bailouts?
Just watch this video as he tries to explain just how fuckin’ awesome he was… twenty years ago.
And to reinforce the point, Kasich totally included a picture of that press conference he held (right after he finished his paper route) announcing to the media that all corporate welfare was over.? Don’t remember that?? Just look at the faded newspaper shot?? How did you not remember?
When John Kasich announced he was running for Governor, national conservatives swooned:
“Change” Obama style seems to involve bigger government, more government control of the private sector, extreme spending, and bailouts and bonuses for failure. Kasich’s version moves away from that recent trend, at least in his state.
So long as you ignore his endorsement of Issue 1 (Third Frontier) and that pesky $500,000 bonus he received the same year Lehman Bros. went bankrupt (a year Kasich has repeatedly claim he “lost” money due to that bankruptcy…. poor bastard.)
And here’s a list of the special interest John Kasich has suckered into donating to his campaign despite the fact that he secretly hates them (Ssshhhhh! Don’t let them see this video!)
CITIZENS UNITED POLITICAL VICTORY FUND -$11,395.56? (You know from that Citizens United campaign finance case that the U.S. Supreme Court just repealed)
CASTELLINI,ROBERT & CASTELLINI,SUSAN? $11,395.56 each (thanks for improving the Reds pitching, jerk!)
BUCKEYE LIBERTY PAC- $11,395.00
BRENNAN,ANN & BRENNAN,DAVID – $11,395.00 each (WHITE HAT MANAGEMENT LLC/CHAIRMAN- Ohio for-profit charter schools company.? Boy are they going to be pissed when Kasich tells them no more state funding!)
FLEXIBLE PAVEMENTS PAC $10,000.00
ABC NORTHERN OHIO PAC $10,000.00
MURRAY ENERGY PAC $10,000.00
OHIO NATIONAL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY $5,500.00
OHIO NATIONAL FINANCIAL SERVICES INC PAC $5,500.00
NATIONWIDE MUTUAL INSURANCE CO. PAC $10,000.00
THE TIMKEN COMPANY GOOD GOVERNMENT FUND $5,000.00 (Several executives of Timken have also maxed out to Kasich already… double suckers!
THE FREEDOM PROJECT $5,000.00
OHIO OIL AND GAS PRODUCERS FUND $5,000.00
MANUFACTURING IN AMERICA PAC $5,000.00
SHELLY PAC $5,000.00
And that’s just a sample of donors who must be scrambling for the phones demanding their money back if they see this video and realize that John Kasich doesn’t cater to special interest.
Oh and as for John Kasich’s war against corporate welfare in the 1990s?? Yeah, it was so successful he got the Republican-led Congress to slash corporate welfare by around 1%.? “House Republicans took a hard look at corporate welfare,” noted the Washington Post, “and they liked what they saw.”
Of course, John Kasich is the same politician who claims a budget act that passed in 1997 was responsible for the economic prosperity of the 1990s… even if a recession occurred just three years after it passed, and President Clinton was re-elected the year before… largely because voters were satisfied with the economy already.
