I think the ad is effective in that it ties Kasich’s Wall Street ties to his congressional record and how he essentially traded in his cushy Congressional job for a cushy Wall Street job that he was completely unqualified for.
My only criticism is that this is boilerplate opposition ad stuff, and I don’t think it’s nearly as effective as the personalized message that Strickland’s first ad in June had (that I wish they’d run again because I don’t think it got sufficient airtime):

According to the Youngstown Business Journal, Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray weighed in on John Kasich’s JobsOhio plan and said he had serious concerns about its lack of transparency, particularly when it came to Kasich’s assertion that the non-profit, private corporations bonus compensation system would be made exempt from disclosure:

The Akron Beacon Journal wrote in an editorial that John Kasich’s JobsOhio plan demonstrates that Kasich, in their words, “[Kasich] doesn’t get it.”

The Wall Street Journal reports that the political rhetoric by the right against Islam is increasing terrorist chatter and plots against the United States.
Islamic radicals are seizing on protests against a planned Islamic community center near Manhattan’s Ground Zero and anti-Muslim rhetoric elsewhere as a propaganda opportunity and are stepping up anti-U.S. chatter and threats on their websites.

This prompted American Crossroads to issue an “Are you kidding?” reply. The organization’s law firm said that all photos and video of Portman used in the commercial came from “public domain sources,” such as the Internet and YouTube. “Absolutely no material used in the ad was obtained from the Portman campaign web site or in any other way from the Portman campaign.”

The Strickland campaign just sent out a press release noting a press conference tomorrow morning revealing their latest television ad. This confirms what we reported here exclusively first. The Strickland campaign is going on the air statewide tomorrow after giving the Kasich campaign and the RGA exclusive access to paid television media for roughly six weeks.
