Okay, so I think you might recall I wrote a few weeks ago that I really wanted to see the flip side of the coin in the Strickland campaign’s media strategy and get them to start running positive ads on Strickland’s records. And I know I wasn’t alone in saying it.
Today, the Strickland campaign announced that they are running two new ads into their rotation. Both have business leaders talking about what Ted Strickland has done about jobs. One of the ads highlights the Administrations commitment to green energy.

Full Story... →There seems to be a real divergence in polling. On one end, Quinnipiac, Fox News, and CNN/Time has the Governor’s race at a 5-7 lead for Kasich. On the other end, you have SurveyUSA, the Columbus Dispatch’s mail-in poll, and today’s Quinnipiac poll that claims that Kasich has a 12-17 point lead.

I endorsed Yvonne Conwell, who won District 7. I’ve held back on Ed Fitzgerald, our nominee for county executive, for a number of reasons.

Full Story... →Public Official 14. That’s how Ed Fitzgerald is described in the indictment of Jimmy Dimora. WKYC just reported that Fitzgerald admits he is PO14. Fitzgerald took a call from Jimmy Dimora on March 8, 2008, about helping indicted co-conspirator Bill Neiheiser gain a contract to manage the Lakewood ice rink Winterhurst.
FitzGerald is mentioned in Count 17 of the 139-page document. The indictment includes a verbatim transcript of a phone call between Dimora and “PO 14.”

Bridget McCafferty, who this party has promoted endlessly up the chain because of her Irishness, who has presided over a courtroom for an entire 3 terms, was sitting today in HANDCUFFS, before another judge, and still, incredibly, DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO ENTER A PLEA.
Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Bridget McCafferty, in a red suit, arrived in the courtroom in handcuffs.

Full Story... →Just like every other week, today we got the latest poll from Rasmussen which essentially confirms what the latest Fox News poll said: this is a 5-7 point race, not a race where Kasich has a double-digit lead like the bipartisanly mocked Dispatch poll has claimed.

Much has been written about Jimmy Dimora & Frank Russo. Not much about Judges Bridget McCafferty or Steven Terry. However, McCafferty may become the key to what’s left of this case, and my money is on this lady singing like a bird.

FBI spokesman Scott Wilson confirmed early today that arrests are being made this morning in connection with the Cuyahoga County corruption scandal. He would not name any people being arrested, citing the sensitivity of the case.
A second and third FBI vehicle pulled into the headquarters shortly after 7:30 a.m. transporting more suspects.
This is days after former County Auditor Frank Russo announced his sudden resignation as a plea deal with federal prosecutors in the two-year corruption probe become public.
