Hearing estimates of over 4,000 people.  Don’t know how many are Tea Party folks versus union… but I have reason to believe that the Tea Party was planning on turnout out, at best, 900. [UPDATE:  Dispatch is reporting only 200 Tea Party folks.  So, yeah!

    If this bill passes, can we simply use the verbiage of the old bill and create a citizens initiative or a constitutionally amendment? I would also add some things in their stating citizens need to authorize pay raises to politicians since we are supposed to be THEIR employers?

    I would like to see such an amendment. Perhaps it could fix the pay at some tiny level like $20,000 per year with any raises having to be voted on by the people of Ohio and then they can only be for the term of the person getting the raise. Anybody new would revert back to the original rate.

    Great coverage by the Columbus Discharge — NOT. I heard a rumor they have applied to legally change their name to the “Columbus Tea Party Dispatch.”

    I was there and I’d be surprised if there were even 200 tea partiers there.
