ODP sure is enjoying the sniping over the ‘12 GOP primary to lose to Sherrod Brown

Mandel vs. Coughlin vs. Blackwell.

This is already shaping up to be more brutal than the Brunner vs. Fisher primary ever really got.

“Kevin Coughlin, Josh Mandel, and Ken Blackwell are finding it’s much easier to take shots at each other than to explain their positions on dangerous schemes that undermine middle class Ohioans and dismantle Medicare,” said Ohio Democratic Party press secretary Justin Barasky. “Now D.C. Republicans are forced to look at Ohio and shake their heads as they find themselves with a slate of candidates engaging in an uncomfortable primary fight that they were hoping to avoid.”

In all honesty, I see this as more of a battle between Josh Mandel, the GOP party establishment candidate, and Ken Blackwell, the darling of the national conservative grassroots activists.  If Ken Blackwell does run for the primary, it’s going to be brutal for Josh Mandel.

Grab the popcorn, folks.  This could get really interesting to watch.

    Hmmmm…I see a lot of tripe coming from Kevin Coughlin (who is a complete loser) and even Kenny B, but I see nothing from Mandel. Could the two also-rans just be sniping at the presumptive nominee to get some attention? Well, they got it from you.

    Mandel will win. We won’t repeat the Fisher/Brunner horrific mistake.

    And he will beat Brown. You just wait and see.

    This is just one of those days when my computer goes bananas. First I try to post a reply, then my computer crashes, then I try again and hit the “like” button by mistake. Here’s the facts: I really like what you said about Coughlin, but think you should have said the same about Blackwell and Mandel, but it is your post and your opinion. I don’t agree with your conclusion that Mandel will unseat Sherrod. I expect to have my yard full of Sherrod Brown signs for most of the coming year, and every time a thieving GOP vandal removes one, I will put up two more.

    You are right — you have seen nothing from Mandel, absolutely nothing since the first day he was elected to office. He’s a do-nothing nonentity, waiting for orders from the corporate masters that control him. I’m sure he’s not allowed to speak unless it’s cleared with David Brennan who basically owns his soul. As for sniping, we already saw how unethical and sleazy he was during his campaign for treasurer, and there’s no reason to think this time will be any different.
