(Pinning to the top for few days) Voice is good. Sometimes voice can be heard by reading someone over a long period of time, but there is nothing like the good old spoken voice. A friend at Blue State Digital is working on a project with Americans United for Change and asked me to pass this along. Deal basically is to pressure Voinoich into changing his stance on the war – vocally. They are using Evoca to let you record a message and the voices will all be sent to the good Senator. Get busy after the jump! [click to continue…]
Next up is a band i hope you’ll all like. They are called Purge and this song is called Dig, featured on their 1996 Magnetic Planet release. Bonus points for identifying the singer.
We interrupt Gonzo Week to bring you this important and time sensitive message. Please see the following viral ad spot produced by the Plundercrew. Download the MP3 file (rename it) and send it to your friends.

This is something I can't pass on and since I'm in such a fun mood lately, I must share this with you. Some of you might know about Senator Ted Stevens' recent speech regarding the Internet not being a truck…but a series of tubes. You can hear the whole speech here, but I'd rather give you the abbreviated techno version:
and keep it handy – it’s a real pick me upper!
Thanks to Paul Holcomb at boldheaded.com for that. Really, Paul Thanks! Senator Stevens might want to check out an article by the Cluetrain Manifesto fathers: What the Internet Is and How to Stop Mistaking It for Something Else. Of course, someone might want to print it out and send it to him by pigeon – seeing how his personal Internet is so slow.
OK folks, here it is! There will not be one this week as this one took nearly two weeks to get online. Let’s just call it the Periodic Plunderbund Podcast shall we? Also check out the live behind the scenes video of Plunderland after the fold!
Hear Ian James and Todd Hoffman of Ohio Learn and Earn (a preview of an upcoming Meet The Bloggers event!)
Finally here! Plunderbund Podcast Episode 3. A bit of thunder was stolen due to it looking like we did not in fact win the Mike Foley race…but the point remains that candidates are on notice of what we can bring down on them if they stray.
Episode 3 (42 minutes) includes:
Getting to know Jeff Coryell (Yellow Dog Sammy) of Ohio2006
Taking to 90 Pound Suburban Housewife songwriters Rozanne Gates and Suzanne Sheridan
Only Ohio Gubernatorial Candidate to Receive NRA Support in May 2 Primary
Columbus, Ohio – The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) has endorsed Ohio gubernatorial candidate Congressman Ted Strickland for the May 2 primary election, the Strickland for Governor campaign announced today.
Strickland received an “A” rating from the NRA based on his consistent legislative record in support of Second Amendment rights in Congress and his responses to the 2006 NRA candidate questionnaire.
In an endorsement letter to Strickland, Chris Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF, acknowledged Strickland’s pro-sportsmen voting record as a member of Congress and urged NRA members and supporters to vote in the primary.
“During your tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives, you have demonstrated a proven commitment to the defense of our Second Amendment rights,” Cox said. “The NRA-PVF urges all NRA members, gun owners and sportsmen to vote for you in Ohio’s Democratic primary for governor on May 2, 2006.”
“I am thankful for this endorsement and the NRA’s acknowledgement of my steady and consistent support for sportsmen and gun owners throughout my time in Congress,” Strickland said.
“I have always believed that law-abiding citizens have a right to the freedoms outlined in the Second Amendment. As governor, I will continue to fight to protect those rights.”
Ted gets the endorsement, Blackwell wears the jacket. LOL. How many right-wing nutjobs will criticize this obvious attempt to pander to the NRA? He looks about as at home in the bomber jacket as I would in a Duke T-shirt. Ted is the real deal, and real Republicans are going to take notice, much like they will in the 12th with Shamansky. I can’t wait to see the end of Republican dominated idiocy, really I can’t!
