Joe already posted a really good review. I also would like to hereby nominate this as the PB phrase of the month:
And bringing Brian Hester on your show to talk almost exclusively about Twitter is like scoring a big interview with Stephen Hawking and forcing him to spend the entire time discussing his wheel chair.
Just. Awesome.
Modern also gives his take without having seen the tape. LOL. I drove down to Cbus to see Brian do the shoot and was duly sequestered in the lobby for the duration of the taping. Sad thing is I looked [...]
Full Story... →Modern’s piece on Kasich is up. It’s all I promised and then some. Maybe not what you expected, but there’s a point to that. The right in Ohio has historically gone down the nasty rumor mill road more times than not. They typically do it when most vulnerable. You’ll remember the NAMBLA flailing about that eventually even made it into a debate between now Governor Strickland and his opponent Ken Blackwell (now fringe wingnut columnist).
Then there’s the “Strickland is gay” stuff, lead by Scott Pullins and other right wing bloggers. Now we have the “Ted may [...]
Full Story... →I’ve always thought one of the biggest strengths great bloggers have is an ability to distill something down to it’s essence and communicate it. ModernEsquire has always been one of those highly capable of such. He does so again with the wingnut tea party nonsense:
Apparently, I’m supposed to be impressed that 4,000 people showed up in Cincinnati for the area’s “Tea Party” protest. I’m not. That’s about how many showed up regularly for McCain/Palin events in the fall, which isn’t surprising since it’s the same people in both crowds.
Of course, he goes on to pummel the fraudulent [...]
Full Story... →One of my favorite bloggers points out that another of my favorite bloggers is suing my least favorite blogger. The only better kicker is that another least favorite blogger (and lawyer) is representing said favorite blogger. In short, Scott Pullins is helping Tim Russo sue Matt Naugle.
It has to be true. I couldn’t even make that up!
Why? Because at some point you have to surrender to what is right. I think Scott has done that. Or he just loves lawsuits – which as Joe here will tell you – just might be the case. I have trouble [...]
Full Story... →ModernEsquire is back at his own place – though still front paging at BSB as well. I’ve always dug ME and it sucked to have to argue with him during the Obama/Hillary primaries. Glad we are again on the same side. ME is one tough cookie. No other person I’d like beside me when banging on righties. Good luck with your new/old site Modern!
