Watching Tom Ganley’s first lesson in politics has been a joy.  Not so much for him, of course.  After this election, we may next hear about Ganley when his auto business files for bankruptcy.

Businessmen in today’s America have every luxury conservative Republicanism can afford them, including the ability to operate as animals in a state of nature.  That is, after all, what Republican ideology is all about – social Darwinism to the point of making people like Tom Ganley obscenely rich, human carnage in that wake be damned.  Inevitably, they want more power, because greed unchecked just [...]

From the original complaint:

The lawyer for the victim alleges he has confirmed that Ganley owns such a condo.

This guy wants to be in Congress.  He likes making women objects to submit to him.  He’s supported by a GOP county chairman who said we needed to get “Betty Sutton out of the House and back in the kitchen.”

He denies the allegations.  Says he has documentation that proves he’s innocent, but has not produced it.

WKYC in Cleveland reports that Cleveland police have contacted Tom Ganley’s attorneys to request setting up an interview regarding the alleged victim’s allegation that Ganley sexually assaulted her in October 2009.

Ganley has a constitutional right not to be questioned by the police.  And, generally, that would be the expected advice of any criminal defense counsel not to subject him to such an interview except that Ganley is running for Congress and he (politically) cannot afford to appear to be not cooperating with the police.  Furthermore, most people don’t care what the Fifth Amendment says—they believe if you [...]

The alleged victim filed an amended complaint specifying that her sexual harassment claim is based on the denial of promised employment by Ganley after she rebuffed his alleged sexual advances.

The Plain Dealer also does a quick bio on both the accuser and her attorney and explains why the Ganley defenders claims that this was some “Democratic/Sutton plot” doesn’t hold water.

Heben said his client is an ardent abortion opponent who volunteered for the 2008 GOP congressional campaign of Jim Trakas, a former Cuyahoga County Republican Party chairman who ran against Cleveland Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich.

Heben himself [...]

From Paragraph 31.

When Mrs. Saccany went upstairs into Ganley’s office, the smell of cologne was over powering, and as Mrs. Saccany walked into his office Ganley sprayed breathe freshener into his mouth.

Awesome.

Wow.  It’s only the first of October, and we already have our “October surprise” in the 13th Congressional race.

According to the Plain Dealer, a woman, who is only identified solely as a registered Republican and Tea Party activist, has filed suit alleging that a year ago Tom Ganley sexually assaulted her at one of his dealerships.

His accuser said she attended a Cleveland Tea Party rally where Ganley spoke on July 3, 2009, when he was a candidate for the U.S. Senate, before he decided to run for Congress. Impressed by Ganley’s anti-abortion platform, the [...]

BSB picks up a good one.   Tom Ganley might be the biggest, stinkingest, foulest hyper-hypocrite in politics right now.  Which must mean he’s a Republican candidate for Congress.

Here’s Tom Ganley earlier today in Roll Call (“Ganley won’t say whether he thinks Obama is Muslim):

“I don’t have a position on whether he’s a Muslim,” Ganley said Thursday in a telephone interview with Roll Call.

Here’s Tom Ganley just a few hours later in the Plain Dealer:

"For the record, he doesn’t believe the president is Muslim." [says Ganley’s campaign spokeswoman.]

The Ganley campaign claims that Ganley made the statement to Roll Call to indicate the irrelevancy he believes the question has.

Except, of course, that’s not what he said.  He [...]

I am still in a state of total shock about the Cavs, so don’t even ask.? However, Akron has given the Ohio blogosphere one of its finest voices on the left, and after an extended on and off absence, it appears Pho is back, and swinging for the fences, as usual.

But more fundamentally than that, if GM hadn’t made the “deal with Uncle Sam” Renacci would have lost his franchise anyway because?there wouldn’t be a GM any more. The choice wasn’t between a bailout and running the company a different way, it was between a bailout and no [...]

I’ve just seen this ad by Tom Ganley twice in the last 2 hours on two separate Cleveland broadcasts on local ABC affiliate WEWS in the 6pm local news (big money slot), and just after Jeopardy before primetime (highest dollar). ?Which means Rob Portman is about to be deepthroat teabagged for 4 solid months. ?Let it hang, Rob!
